The town offers many thermal and climate spas with conference centres and casinos. At the end of the Portorož bay lies Piran, a historic town that at first sight reminds of Venice and represents the soul of the Portorož area and Community of Piran. He was a several time state champion in Optimist sailing class in the former Yugoslavia. He continued his sailing career in the Olympic classes Europe, 470 and Laser. Furthermore he was a top skipper on many regatta sailboats in the Adriatic.

All berths have access to electricity and fresh water. Marina offers everything a modern marina has to offer, from showers, toiletes, clean waste disposal till parking area. On the other hand Jonathan Yachting pier is located towards the Arena and as such allows you the possibility to enjoy yourself during the evening and listen to the music from the deck of your boat while having dinner. Jonathan Yachting team in Pula is very good from the technical point of view. As far as touristic approach is concerned it is improving year by year. Our guests are kindly asked to have a little bit of touristic patience especially in the high season when it is crowded and working conditions for our team in the city marina are not very good. Charter base Pula can also be very interesting starting-point due to the fact that it is relatively easy reached by car from every European direction. But it is an excellent point of departure since you can reach beautiful and safe bays only a few nautical miles away.

Pula is the largest city in Istria peninsula and has a little bit more than 67,000 inhabitants. Then city is 3,000 years old and situated on the southern part of the peninsula where old meets new and remains the source of inspiration to many writers and composers at their work. Numerous cultural and historical monuments form the proper ambience for cultural and enternaining events in the city. The most important place is definitely the ancient Roman amphitheatre known as ARENA that hosts the film festivals, operas and concerts of the renowned world artists (e.g STING, ZUCCHERO, NORAH JONES, etc ). You can plan your sailing holidays according to some concerts taking place in the Arena or you will just find yourself on your sailboat at a right time. Enormous Roman colosseum was built during the reign of the emperor Augustus and its present size (133m x 105m) was reached under the reign of the emperor Vespasian (AD 67-79). Amphitheatre can hold up to 23,000 visitors. Worldwide known sights can also be found at sea. The breathtaking Brioni Islands are located just a few miles from the city marina. The resort is open and available to all navigators and it is definitely a must-see destination during your cruise in the region. Not to mention if you are headed towards the Kvarner Islands next.

Pag Šimuni
Altitude: 44° 27,8' N
Azimuth: 14° 57,5' E

Only Jonathan Yachting technical base accepts the customers who set off on their cruise from other bases. The sailing around the island Pag will astonish you in many things, returning to the main marina and mooring in one of the Pag bays will save you money and concern whether you will even get a free berth in high season. The crystal clear quality of water in marina is amazing. Therefore swimming or jumping into it after hot landing is a common ritual. Jonathan Yachting base in Šimuni is in good hands and management of the family Gligora. The reception office is run by Ivan and his wife Biljana and is located right at the marina reception. Ive, as the manager is called by local people, is highly tourist-conscious person who never lacks obligingness and kindness. Sea represents his life from his childhood onwards and fishing is one of his ways of surviving during the winter months, cattle breeding and cheese making are the two additional occupations as he continues his family tradition. “ALL FOR TOURSIM” slogan of the family Gligora is very interesting. Co-workers and marina personnel will help you with technical and maintenance assistance of your sailboat.

Marina Šimuni

Marina Šimuni is a small, orderly operation with modern infrastructure. It is located in a natural port, protected in all direction from the wind and sea. And as such makes a Šimuni a safe stop for sailors even in heavy weather. The marina offers over 150 sea and about 30 dry berths and is equipped with a lifting facility hoisting up to 15 tonnes including other services such as sailboat slide and piers. All berths are equipped with nice electricity cabins (220volt), telephone, TV and fresh water. You will find the reception office in the marina's central building where the toilets, showers, basin suits and launderette are. The marina restaurant offers the specialties from the island Pag and Dalmatian cuisine. There is also a grocery store where you can buy basic food, beverage and fruit. For all major shopping we recommend the medium-sized shopping centre located by the road in the direction of the town Novalja.

All our boats have permanent berths on the southwestern part of the marina (because the marina is small-sized you can find our boats very easy and the infrastructure is within the small distance).

Sailing, surfing, swimming, diving, fishing, jogging, biking, climbing or hiking are holiday activities that allow guests to combine sailing with other activities. A visit to the mythic Pag triagle is especially invigorating.

In many ways, Pag is a unique island because of its vegetation and stone formations mixed with lush vegetation of numerous herbs and spices. Plants and herbs are the basic food of local sheeps what give its special flavour to the world-known Pag's cheese. Pag also offers traditional lamb dish, prosciutto (smoked ham) with olive oil and olives, fish and other seafood specialties (e.g. calamary) and surprisingly good white wine will make your evenings divine.

The town of Pag itself, a royal town since 1244, is the cultural centre of the island. The old town centre is a historical monument, from the cathedral to the palace or to the cloister of the Order of Benedictine Sisters (try the delicious baked bread that, as they say, suits best with the morning white coffee), baroque balconies and graves of old noble families. All of these and many other sights tell a story of long and rich heritage. Hand-made lace is a centuries-old tradition in Pag. Each lace is unique and can decorate your kitchen table, room, frame or even traditional Pag national costume. The island Pag takes care of its own folklore in dancing or singing and makes sure to present it to the tourists in the hot summer evenings.

The island is overgrown with numerous herbs, sage being the most famous one. The honey that is made of sage blossoms can help you make it through the winter without the annoying colds. The entire island blooms in May, with a chaotic display of natural splendour, long days and a deep blue sea, and winds that guarantee cruise sailing at its best. We have chased away all your doubts, a cruise on our charter boat from our Marina Šimuni base is definitely the right choice in May!

Trogir is a beautiful historical town with visible signs of its varied past. The people and the government changed numerous times in past centuries. The town is situated on the small island between the Croatian fertile mainland on one part and the Island Čiovo on the other. The town was first settled by Illyrians, Greeks, and Romans. But the Croats started building the town and its history in the 7th century as they developed their autonomous municipality, whether under their own or foreign sovereings (Byzantines, Venetians, French, Austro-Hungarian empire, etc.).
The history helped in building one of the most beautiful towns on the Adriatic coast, the treasury of art and a "Town-Museum", as the famous art historian Bernard Berenson described Trogir. Ancient Kairos, Roman fragments and inscriptions and rustic early Croatian art are competing in gaining our attention. For a moment you can place yourself in front of the numerous local sights... We shall stand enraptured before the Romanesque portal of the Croatian sculptor Master Radovan (13th century); admire the Gothic and Renaissance masterpieces of Matej Gojković, Andrija Aleši, Ivan Duknović and Nikola Firentinac (15th century). We shall feel the coolness of the sturdy walls and bastions, the astonishing beauty of the cathedral, the mystique of the narrow streets and vaults, the harmony of the colour and form of the paintings, miniatures and carvings. In the quiet of the museums, treasuries, art collections and old libraries, amidst the monuments in stone, we shall follow the continuity of living and man's creativity in this climate where the sun and sea, stone and nature, have merged with life. Beautiful buildings of typical white fronts, stone-paved, slick and amazingly clean streets tell the story of numerous feet crossing their paths through the time. No, you will not be able to resist the stroll throught the old part of the city centre.
The coastal area around Trogir is known for its mild climate, lush subtropical and Mediterranean vegetation, large and small islands speckled with small fishing villages, pebble and sand beaches, scenic local architecture, relaxing tourist facilities that provide endless recreational opportunities throughout the year, tradional local hospitality, culinary delights of the fine Dalmatian cuisine, local fishing festivals and daily fresh catches as well as the beauty of the folklore and chamber music concerts offerred in memorable medieval ambience.
In the evening following a long day of sailing, you may choose to have dinner in one of the many fine restaurants in Trogir. The town also offers a wide variety of concerts in different music styles; visitors can enjoy musical performances in the plazas or streets on hot summer nights. Before turning back towards the marina and your sailboat for the night, you should top off your outing with an ice cream and a stroll along the Trogir riviera where luxury yachts are moored

Azimuth: 16° 24,4' E

Base Kaštela is managed by Mr. Ciril Vrančič and is located in the newly built Marina Kaštela in the beautiful bay of Kaštela. In the reception office that is situated just in front of the boat pier you will be greeted by Asja Šunjić with whom you will also arrange the necessary formalities and get all the information needed to find your way at sea easier. Marina Kaštela

Marina Kaštela is a newly-created Croatian marina that is situated on the northeastern shore of the bay of Kaštela. The marina is protected by the moutain Kozjak from the north, while the peninsula Marjan and Čiovo shield the marina from the south. What makes the marina very attractive is its amazing geographical position and easy access. It is namely only 5km away from the highway, 7km from the airport, 9km from the harbour and 9km from the railway station. Beside this the space in marina is used very effectively and as such offers comfort and vastness not only on the shore but also among the berths. Marina has new offices and sanitation. There is also surveilled parking area, air-conditioned terminal, secured luggage room, etc. Marina is an excellent starting-point for cruising among the Dalmatian islands, from Kornati Islands in the north till the Dubrovnik in the south.

Mild climate and favourable location in the middle of the Croatian coast are the main characteristics of the town Kaštela and its surroundings. The town was founded on the medieval ruins on the Mountain Kozjak slope. Seven beautiful old settlements, the seven Kaštelas, are the main tourist attractions of the territory between Split and Trogir. The region with its natural beauties has always attracted people from the ancient Greece and Rome till nowadays. The town's surroundings offer plenty of parks and other tourist or maritime sights. This is nothing strange since the town has very rich history. Tragurion, today known as Trogir, was founded by Greek colonits and merchants from the island Vis in the 3rd century BC. Later in the time of Roman Empire the town was known after its quality marble.

Any of the seven Kaštelas has its turbulent and intresting past that was created by different inhabitants. The most beautifully preserved settlement is Kaštilac situated very close to the marina and built by the sisters of the Benedictine order from Split in the 16th century. The fortification was built on a reef. It is surrounded by sea and connected with the shore by a stone bridge. There are also many other legends that make the town even more interesting. One is a love story about Miljenko and Dobrila similar to the story of Romeo and Julia. Come and we will tell you the legend...
The town Kaštela developed into the centre of the Middle Dalmatia as it is surrounded by towns such as Trogir, Solin and Split. Together they form attractive administrative, economic and cultural-historical entirety. A wide range of sights is available for the guests of this Jonathan Yachting base where they can take good advantage of their time while staying at the marina.

Kotor
Altitude: 42°25 N
Azimuth: 18°47' E

On the southeastern part of the Adriatic coast the sea followed the former river streams and forced its way 28km into the mainland and formed a unique bay of Boka Kotorska (86 km2). The bay is breathtaking due to its abundant and dramatic beauty. Montenegro is a destination worth travelling for everybody, for those who have already seen the Dalmatia and its pearls as well as for those who cruise the Adriatic Sea for the first time. Kotor base was the last base to join the Jonathan Yachting group. That is also why Cécile and Marjan Dimitrijević, both with international experiences in sailing industry, are eager to make your holidays unforgettable. The office where you will take care of all the formalities is located in the old part of the town i.e. on the exit from the Center Kulture and it is close by the Marina Kotor and its berths where all the boats are moored.

Marina Kotor

Marina Kotor is located at the steep cliffs of the Gulf of Kotor (Boka Kotorska) and it is not a regular marina because it forms a part of the Kotor harbour. Despite this its position is excellent since it is situated close to the city centre (100 metres), where restaurants, shops and accommodation possibilities are available. It is open throughout the year and it also offers parking area. There are 30 berths for the vessels up to 22m; electricity and fresh water are available. Larger boats can use the berth at the St. Stasija lighthouse that is within the one nautical mile distance. Kotor can be reached by car, bus, ship or plane. The nearest airport is in Tivat 8km away, Dubrovnik airport is 73km away and Podgorica airport 90km.
The coastal town Kotor is located on the spot where the sea has fought its way deep into the sheer Lovčen and Orijena massifs. There are many legends about the foundation of Kotor. One of them says that the Greek fairy Alkima who lived in the Vilnica cliff that rises above the town advised the settlers not to build the town on the top of hill as some wanted at that time. She said: "The shore should be your home as there is no life without water. Up on the hill there is no port for a ship or home for a horse."
The entire area has typical Mediterranean climate - warm and dry summers on one hand and mild and damp winters on the other. The average summer temperature is 15.2° C . The warmest month is July with the average air temperature 24.1° C and sea temperature 23.0° C. The average air temperature in January is 7.7° C and sea temperature 13.1° C. Autumn is on average warmer than spring by 2.9° C. Swimming season therefore takes place from the mid May till the mid October.
Kotor is one of the few towns that kept numerous traditional events which attract the interest of spectators with it originality, folklore and the number of performers. Let us mention the carnival, the event that is dedicated to the St. Tripun, the city's patron, days in honour of the camelia flower, the film festival on the maritime world, the children theatre festival, the fashion festival i.e. the famous "Fašinada" that takes place each year on July 22 nd and many other sights that will spice up your stay in this town.
