09.06.2008 - Skiers under sails
The third performance of »skiers under sails« is over. The event was very successful with 240 competitors and coaches of 12 clubs of the WEST region taking part in it.
Also the weather was on the side of the main part of the event – SAILING.
Because of the high number of »sailors« we went out on the sea in 2 groups. First the youngest children (the youngest »cicibans« were 8 years old !) and in the afternoon their elder colleagues.
We went out with 12 sailing boats. Expert skippers took care of the children's safety.
The coordination of the whole event on the water was managed by Rudi Frantar. Mostly thanks to him and his JONATHAN YACHTING team it was possible for us to carry out the performance. The representatives of the sponsors and the leaders of the clubs took part aboard of a catamaran, which is apartly attractive because of its big space and sailing characteristics.
The day was perfect for an event on the sea. We took the opportunity to celebrate the end of the skiing season, with the final prize giving to the best competitors and ski clubs of the seaon 2007-2008.
The whole event was filmed by the GTV (TV of Gorenjska), who will prepare a short report (film) which we will publish on the website soon.

14.05.2008 - Visit at Marina Lepanto
The sun had just arised and was shining on the Duino castle, when the whole Jonathan Team aboard of our Jonathan Power drove under the rocks of Duino. Surrounded by jellyfish and sleepy seagulls we were listing to Rudis story of the legend of the uncommonly rock beneath the castle.
The Jonathan Team was on expedition. This time they were on their way to the new charter base in the marina Lepanto near Monfalcone (IT).
Already in the earl morning hours we stirred the bay of Trieste, and after a short stop at the Duino we followed our trip through the channel towards Lepanto. Channels are an interesting mixture of calm nature, marinas, small industry and plenty of fishermen. During our trip many seagulls, swans and ducks flew across.
Marina Lepanto is a real oasis for a rest. Accompanied by our collaborator Mila we had a look at the new Jonathan office in at the infrastructure of the new marina Lepanto. Everywhere you can see that order and tidyness are on the first place. After a refreshment drink we started our way back.
After the silent drive on the channel Rudi accelerated and this seemed as an unpleasant alarm clock to us. But we were awake very quickly and enjoyed the nice view to the coast which was flowing past us.
Unfortunately working duties were calling us, so we just threw an eye on the castle of Miramare before we hurried back to our home base in Portoroz.

13.05.2008 - Internautica Boat Show 2008
The 14th edition of Internautica was in our opinion and opinion of our guests one of the best. We express our thanks to Marina Portorož and Studio 37, organizers of the event.
Jonathan yachting has been present from the very beginning of the show, thus we know what we are talking about by giving our praise. Same place as always, we had our booth at the very beginning of the sea part of the show.
Jonathan corner, known also for the shadow tent with a table and chairs has been entertaining many visitors. Some were interested in our "classic" program with DUFOUR and ARCHAMBAULT traveling sailing boats. Other people were interested in new things. We had a great response to our new offer: catamaran NAUTITECH! And last but not least, many came just to visit us and taste the great wine of the Korenika brothers.
Our peer offered the possibility to visit Dafour Grand Large program: Dufour 525, D 485 and the smallest sailing boat D 325, which is already a best seller on a global level in the so called category "ever green".
Performance line was not present as our guests already know it from our fleet and from test-drives which are possible in Portorož. Call us for further information!
But let's come back to our hit of the show - our French catamaran NAUTITECH! We are sure that better times are coming for this kind of vessels in the Adria and Jonathan Yachting team is going to drive this trend.
Talking about Jonathan Yachting team? Internautica is the great opportunity to be completely K.O. after it. The program by day and by night, with great concerts, left without words also the energetic Mila, the boss of the new Jonathan base in Lepanto.

02.05.2008 - Silence, please! Movie shooting!
Attracted from our boats and experience, the director of a German movie production
decided to include the great natural scenery north of Triest in a movie in
cooperation with us.
In the early morning of the 2nd of May Albatro 12.90 lifted anchor in Portorose's
Marina, to run away towards Duino's Castle, near Trieste. "To run" is the righ expression,
seeing that the cruising speed was about 45 knots! Sea was calm, only a light breeze
on our faces, so with great pleasure we understood that summer is close!
Only 15 minutes to fly facing the old castle, with its wild coast, made of rocks and
transparent water!
So there we are and the director said: "Come on!"..."Yes baby! No problem: every
day we pilot a 13 meters motor yacht in 1 meter deep water! But for Jonathan's delphins,
nothing is impossible." Infact, with expert hand on the two motors and thruster,
Rudi pilots the beast in the perfect position to start! Giancarlo helps at delicate
manoeuvres at the bow and me...I obtained the hiring, so,... I only enjoy the situation!
Silence, please! Movie shooting!
First, second, third stage: history of a thriller, bad guys come aboard and then we
embark the first actress and film an exciting gliding and final disembarcation!
Now we only have to wait to watch our two heroic protagonists in the movie "Comissario Laurenti", on German TV program RTL2!
